Permissions change your presentations
When you speak you have to give your audiences permissions.
Have you ever spoken and shared a humorous anecdote and no one laughed?

The reason you don't get the responses you want is because you did not give your audience permission to respond.One of the greatest motivators in people is feeling safe.
Safe means without fear. We all want to be safe. Am I right?Then be aware of our fear of looking bad, looking dumb, giving the wrong answer, or being made fun of.People will do nothing rather than face any of these issues.
And until you give them confidence that they won't suffer any of these issues they will do nothing.
When you tell a joke or make a funny, you must smile at the least or laugh along with your audience.When you ask for something you must mimic what you want them to do. Raise your hand when asking them to raise their hand.When you are seeking confirmation you need to nod you head in affirmation, smile at everyone around the room, open your arms.When you want one person to participate vs everyone you need to be looking directly at them unwaveringly. Nod. Smile. And give them permission to respond by asking again.
Your body language, facial expressions, and positive modifiers are what help them cross that barrier of fear.
And there can never be a wrong answer.
